How do I place a section where I want?

Sections can be moved or copied by either dragging and dropping the section to the required location or using the 'cut/copy and paste' method.

In the first example using the 'cut/copy and paste' method we will move a section 'Books' below a section called 'Homeware' in the content tree.
Highlight the section to be cut or copied (in this example 'Books'), right click and select 'Cut', then highlight the section that you would like this section to appear below (in this example 'Homeware'), right click and select 'Paste' and the section 'Books' will position itself below the section 'Homeware'.

In the second example using the 'cut/copy and paste' method we will move a section 'Books' inside a section called 'Homeware' to become a subsection.
Highlight the section to be cut or copied (in this example 'Books'), right click and select 'Cut', then highlight the section that you would like this section to appear inside (in this example 'Homeware'), right click and select 'Paste Sub-section' and the section 'Books' will position itself as a sub-section of the section 'Homeware'.

Using the 'drag and drop' method while it is quite simple to move a product into position below a certain product within a list (as a product can only appear within a section) dragging a section is slightly more involved. The section has the capability to become a section at the same level as it's peers or become a sub-section of one of those peers.

In the examples below, the site we are using has three sections 'Books', 'Homeware' and 'Clothing' in that order in the content tree, however we wish to re-order the sections in the following order: -

    Homeware
    Clothing
    Books

In order to do this we would need to highlight 'Clothing' press and hold the 'Shift' key and drag the section onto the 'Homeware' section (while you hover over the main section it's name will become bold) and drop it, 'Clothing' will then position itself below 'Homeware'.
Do the same with the 'Books' section, dragging and dropping it over the 'Clothing' section.

If however you wish that section becomes a sub-section of another (e.g. 'Books' to become a sub-section of 'Homeware'), you can drag the section that you wish to become a sub-section ('Books') over the top of the section you wish to become parent ('Homeware') and drop, the sub-section will immediately form.
