    Can't Donwload Orders

I'm slightly confused, it's been a long week!

Webfusion wanted to upgrade my server so I've been in the process of moving my site. Here's what I did.

They set up my new hosting so both were running together. I changed my network settings and uploaded my site to the new server to get ahead of the game. I then changed back old server settings and closed out the orders by suspending and downloading and uploading.

I updated the DNS this morning and it seems to have propogated ok. Therefore I refreshed the new server and then unsuspended ordering. Went to place a test order and all went fine, also a customer placed an order.

No email came through to say I had a new order but I have copies of the order email too. These alarmingly had 0001, 0002 even though I had updated the order number sequence in help troubleshooting.

And finally when I download orders there is nothing there!! Anyone have any ideas?

I must admit the webfusion network settings are a nightmare, The upload seems to be working but if I run a test it errors at the cgi test.

Actinic is not able to run the CGI scripts on the server. It appears as if the scripts are not installed. The most likely cause is that you have an incorrect CGI-BIN URL. If you've never uploaded the site, then you should do it before a download of orders. If you've uploaded the site ever, then Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Jim

You must clear the network test errors to make sure you can access the site correctly. Search the forum for posts relating to network settings for webfusion to help resolve the cgi problem.

      Hi Duncan,

Thanks for the reply. Spent all day on the forum looking at posts yesterday. Thought I would try and post to see if I was missing something obvious.

When webfusion set the server up I had to setup the two folders within public_html as actinic wouldn't even start the test.

      so within public_html I have

      file index.cgi
      file index.htm
      folder cgi-bin permissions 755
      folder acatalog permissions 777

Here are my network settings minus the password...

        I'm even more confused now!

The website was not visible on the Actinic machine but was on every other computer.

Have just restarted the computer and ran a network test and we passed on everything and the email came through fine. The website is now visible also.

But now within Actinic I can not Publish to Web or Download orders. I click the buttons, they go orange, egg timer next to pointer, the screen refreshs, but nothing happens. Button stays orange but if I click elsewhere I can carry on working in Actinic.

        Bizarre!

You may need to change the script ID to another number besides 1, then try another upload
