Anchor links not working in v14

    Hi,

I am using the Smart Responsive theme in v14.0.3 and cannot get the anchor links to work within the site. For example, when clicking on a product link within Best Sellers, the link simply takes you to the top of the relevant page, but not directly to that product.

I have been told via a support ticket that this is due to a bug within v14 and that I should upgrade to v16 in order to fix this. As I do not currently wish to upgrade, is there a fix available to rectify this?

    Many thanks.

I'm not aware of any fix but is the problem:

    - the way the link appears in the bestseller links i.e. /cgi-bin/ss000003.pl?PRODREF=E1271&NOLOGIN=1 ?

    - or the redirected link this takes you to i.e. /acatalog/Gemstone-set_earrings_8.html#aE1271 ?

    - or an incorrect anchor on the page so the browser can't find it. i.e. <a name="aE1271"> </a> ?

I'm asking as there might be an easy solution depending on where the problem lies.

        Hi Mike,

        Many thanks for your reply.

It may be an incorrect anchor name: <a name="aE1261"></a> for example.

I'm not sure if you're looking at our old site, but the new v14 test site can be viewed at: shop-kalimadesigns.com/acatalog/test

        I hope this helps.

          Thanks again Mike.

I've just read the thread you kindly sent me a link to and it does sound very similar. The product links are correctly linking to the relative pages, but not moving down to the product/s on that page.

looking at your test site it does look like the problem is the one posted about in post #3.

            (Oops, cross posting).

That's great, thank you very much again.

I will append the required files, upload the site again and let you know how I get on.

              Fingers crossed!

                Many, many thanks again Mike!

I have replaced the Actinicextras.js and Actinic.pm modules, as per the 'destructions', and this all works perfectly now; with all anchor links.

                You're a star!

                      Hi Mike,

Thanks again for the solution to the anchor links.

Although the links work great when the customer has logged on, I've just noticed that (when the customer has not logged on) the anchor links still take the customer to the relevant product page. Is there any means to redirect to the login page if they have not logged on? I have taken a look at the upgraded modules, but now scratching my head - again.
