    Sage accounts 50c

Notice sage are stopping desktop accounts and going to cloud subscription services with sage 2015 being stopped support very soon

Yet another con job forcing you to update for no benefit, good software would have built in adjustments for most changes the government makes

Anyone used sage and moved to another accounts package that is acceptable to Sellerdeck and if so was the transfer painless

Any plans to update link to sage 50C

Interesting, thanks. We're a registered Sage development partner but this is the first I've heard of it :-( I will investigate and post back in due course.

OK, here is some further clarification, which I hope will reassure.

Sage 50c is basically the desktop package with some added cloud services. They do have a cloud application, Sage One, but it's far less functional than Sage 50. They are giving no indication of dropping Sage 50 in favour of Sage One. Realistically I think Sage One will need a lot more development before they could do that.

In terms of licensing, IWHT they will certainly need to transition to a subscription model. The software market is pretty saturated, and it's almost impossible today to sustain any kind of software business on the basis of new licence sales alone.

        Sage 50C /Sagelink & Sellerdeck

I am getting mixed information from here and the SD team on the phone, so seek clarification please.

If Sage 50C is physically the same as the previous desktop version with cloud capabilities added, as Bruce advised here, shouldn't the Sagelink be able to work with it? If not immediately, but with a few tweaks?

In talking with the SD sales team last week to plan our future strategy with Sellerdeck, I specifically asked that question and was told that SD 2016 and Sagelink won't work with Sage50C now. It was suggested that this wasn't planned but they might be able to get Development to put something together for me but that resources and time was limited and it was implied, it could be expensive.

As Sage 50 users, I am considering whether to upgrade to gain the cloud capabilities, or even to switch to another cloud based accounting software. However, it seems doing either would render the Link with SD useless, so do we need to seek a more integrated software package or packages?

Please can someone explain the official Sellerdeck position or offer any advice?

Is it that Sellerdeck don't know - or don't read the Forums?

I suspect that nobody in the user community knows the answer - SD don't always monitor the community.
I suggest you give SD another call and ask them for further details.
