HTTPS Pages available across whole site

We have come across a weird issue. Although we have set up Sellerdeck to only use SSL on checkout pages all pages are actually live as https. They aren't easily accessible (only if you change the url) but they do actually exist. Example here:

    https://www.sailandski.co.uk/acatalog/Ski_Poles.html

Anyone got any idea how or why these have been generated?

They don't have to be generated, this is the way it works.

SSL encrypts the connection between you and the server and sends the standard webpages via this. It's not separate encrypted files being served down an open connection.

All sellerdeck is doing when you ask it to secure the checkout only is to only request the checkout pages via SSL. This saves on the server processing power required to encrypt the pages for SSL.

If SSL is available then you can force all pages to be delivered by SSL. It needs handling with a bit of care to make sure that you don't lose your rankings in Google (who treats a page delivered by http: different to a page delivered by https: )

Google is putting more emphasis on websites delivered by SSL so it is worth doing.
