Could SellerDeck Payments suffer a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack?

Sellerdeck Payments by Opayo and Sellerdeck Payments by NMI will be sunsetting on 31st May 2023. On the 1st of June, these payment gateways will no longer be available to process new transactions. We will maintain the service for an additional month to allow for refunds and downloading of reports.

Sellerdeck Payments by Opayo and Sellerdeck Payments by NMI are being replaced by SellerdeckPay powered by ClearAccept:

Other than legislation and the activities of the authorities, there is nothing on the general Internet to stop DDOS attacks, exactly like there is nothing to stop passers by hurling bricks through shop windows.

However, unlike many other similar services, all access to the service on which SellerDeck Payments runs is through a DDOS mitigated network. This means that should a DDOS attack occur the impact will be minimal, as the offending transactions are stopped at the perimeter of the network, well away from the servers providing the access. This is some of the finest protection against DDOS currently available.
