    Problems

So we have been having a lot of Sellerdeck problems across our websites and have been working with Sellerdeck for a long time.

Finally they have come to the conclusion that our hosting was the problem, not sellerdeck. They quoted us a horrendous cost for hosting themselves and as we have 20 e-commerce sites, we could not afford that for all 20.

We have signed up with hostit.co.uk who are dedicated Sellerdeck web hosting platform.
So, I am moving one of our smaller accounts over to test if it will work as we need it to and already, it will not upload our website through Sellerdeck (Screen shot of error message attached)

It is saying either our internet is down, or our web server is down. This is one of the Chronic Problems we face with Sellerdeck is it wont upload content or content goes missing from our web hosting, crashing part of our websites randomly. These even happen over weekends when we are closed, so its nothing thats being done manually.

This is the first roadblock we always face and it not cannot be a hosting problem as hostit are Sellerdeck specialists too.

Fed up. 1 1/2 years of Sellerdeck not working.

I'm not really sure where to start on this.

    1. Have to changed the domain names DNS to point to the host-it servers?

    2. This can take a little while. Have you given the change time to propagate?

    3. Are you using the network settings suggested by host-it? I believe they even have a network wizard that will create the network settings for you.

    4. Did you run a network test? What do the results say?

    5. It looks from the image as if you are setting up SSL. Is the SSL certificate loaded on your new web server?

      1. Have to changed the domain names DNS to point to the host-it servers? - Yes, the site was set up two weeks ago, but due to annual leave, I left moving it properly until today.

      2. This can take a little while. Have you given the change time to propagate? - yes

      3. Are you using the network settings suggested by host-it? I believe they even have a network wizard that will create the network settings for you. - yes, followed their instructions.

      4. Did you run a network test? What do the results say? - Network is running fine, Internet is running fine. No problems internally.

      5. It looks from the image as if you are setting up SSL. Is the SSL certificate loaded on your new web server?

We have removed this for the new upload, as we have not set that up yet, but I will be doing, once its moved across properly.

      Thank you

        Sounds good.

On the Network setup page in sellerdeck there's a button marked 'Test'

This will run the sellerdeck network setup test and report any problems it finds.

Can you run the test and let us know what happens.

Thats part of my problem, I cant get it past the wizard for the new connections. It accepts all the FTP details and web details, but wont accept my verifying folder locations. Thats where it crashes and says we have no web connection, which I can clearly see we do?

We are having lots of bug problems with the software, I feel like this is one of those?

Why are you running the wizard? I thought you were taking the network settings from Host-it as per their instructions here:

ahh, thanks. I was not sent that link, so missed it. Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant originally with this. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Still not working however, but a different error now. Won't accept the FTP details, despite copy and pasting them direct and originally setting up through the file you linked too. Will keep playing around with alternatives.

If you do not have the SSL certificate installed yet, do you still have Business Settings | Payment and Security | Payment Security SSL/TLS ticked?
If so try unticking this option to see if that makes any difference to the upload.
