Update, I deleted the contents of the site, and refreshed. The error box is getting bigger still (so no link to the error.err file)...

    Tak.

Modified the permissions, now the error message is only:

"An error occurred while merging files on the remote site. OK"

After each upload, an extra "OK" is added
      - the second time = "OKOK"
      - the third time = "OKOKOK"

      The program doesn't crash now.

(I've tested with ftp & anonymous users with Full control from root with inherited, and same error above)

      Rgds, Tak.

Not sure about this Tak - it sounds more like an issue in the Actinic software rather than on the Windows Server (though there may be a relation). I'd be tempted to give Actinic support a call now or maybe scour the forums for more info....I'm sure others have had the OKOKOK issue before.

        Cheers

What happens during the final "Merge" operation?

I tried searching here, only this thread shows up, and quite amazingly, on Google did a search on "Actinic OKOK" and this thread came up! (Now that I've mentioned it, it'll be looped now...)

If it's the program, I'll install Actinic on another machine to see.
          (I'm using Actinic v853)

          Tak.

I was wondering if you managed to get an actinic website sucessfully setup on windows server 2008. I have a number of sites working in IIS 7.5 but i cant seem to down load orders.

Did you manage to get your up and running in the end?

nah, I gave up as I didn't get a solution on this problem...
              - plus the whole 2008 interface was entirely new to me (I was more familiar to server 2003 at the time...)

              Rgds, Tak.
