    Actinic hangs on checkout

I support a church bookshop website which runs Actinic - www.fpbookroom.org. The checkout process seems to hang on the last stage of the checkout process after entering payment details. Which I click on next it waits indefinitely for a response from the server on os000002.pl. The problem occurs even if I chose to send credit cards separately.

I've done a full refresh of the website and changed the cgi script id number but it doesn't work. No changes that I am aware of have been made to the configuration recently.

    Any ideas?

When you go to Network Setup Test does it pass okay? Have you checking without SSL on?. You have the option to pay by card, you need a Payment Service Provider.

Thanks for the suggestions which I'll try out. The network test passes OK. We process credit cards offline, I'm wondering if the solution is to use a payment provider. We're hosted with a small private hosting company solfa net.

your site and network settings are seriously messed up.

        Yes. You need a psp.

Drop ssl and get your network settings working first.

Yes. best find a new host and unix servers are easier to get working than windows servers which your host has you on at the minute.

This issue is definitely down the hosting company's server setup. It most likely does not have the correct modules installed for processing the Perl cgi scripts.

Refer your hosting company to this page:

or get a hosting company that specialises in Actinic.
You should not be experiencing this issue with a properly configured web hosting area.
