    how to create xml sitemaps

In several of the search engines google webmasters console and bing webmasters tools it asks for an xml site map. My question is is do we need to create one.
I have found a xml site map generator and created one though it did say 500 pages exceeded

Is the xite map still worthwhile and how do you instal it in sellerdeck thiis is what it said on https://www.xml-sitemaps.com

    Your sitemap is ready!

    There are 2 steps left:

    1. Download the sitemap file here and upload it into the domain root folder of your site (http://www.fantasygirl.co.uk/).
    2. Check that sitemap is showing for you at http://www.fantasygirl.co.uk/sitemap.xml, go to your Google Webmaster account and add your sitemap URL.

    Any advice appreciated

    Sue

You upload it to your server using an FTP programme, then tell Google Webmaster Tools where to find it.

Not that I know of. Do you not have access to your server at all?

V16 creates an XML sitemap by default. It's on your server. Just tell Google to look for www.yourdomain.co.uk/sitemap.xml

Sitemaps are really just another way for Google, etc to find all your webpages. Sellerdeck sites are easily indexable by Google so I've never bothered and as far as I can tell it's never done me any harm. So no, you don't need to create one.

Sellerdeck 2016 will do it automatically for you.

Other than that it seems pointless to use a third party tool for this. Google is better at working out a site's structure than any tool that's out there so why use something that's not as good to tell Google where your pages are?
