2016 Sellerdeck google product search data feed

    Hello Community,

Our people who look after adwords have looked at the "auto generated feed" from our site and they say Google cant accept it because.....

Google found one error with the feed.

The attribute does not contain the ISO 3166 country code: shipping.country

In the feed this attribute shows "UK01". This needs to be changed to GB.
Once done we should be ready to go.

Has anyone any idea how I find where this is located in Sellerdeck 2016 and then change it please ?

    Thanks in anticipation....

'UK01' sounds as if you might have set that as the country code in Settings > Locations.

Note that is sometimes done to allow for different delivery charges to different parts of the UK so best check before changing it.

        Hi Mike,

        Thanks for this....

I've been advised that I need a Google shopping plug in as the Sellerdeck export isn't quite the tool it should be ??

Its strange that in "Locations" I use UK / UK1 / UK2 but in the sitemap Google export its UK01.

So I'm just guessing but I don't think this UK01 is being generated from the Locations part of Sellerdeck.

It seems UK01 refers to where your store is physically located so Google know its in the UK - But they need to see GB in the Google feed to accept it into shopping.

I'm not a website developer, so a bit stumped.

The code used comes from the CompanyCountryCode variable - in other words, the Sellerdeck country code for the country you chose for your business address in Business Settings.

You can override this in Design | Library | Layouts | XML Feeds | Google Product Feed Layout. Scroll to approx line 23 and change

            <g:country>CompanyCountryCode</g:country>

            to

            <g:country>GB</g:country>

            Apply and publish.

              Hi Steve,

As Andy has indicated - you can manually change a value in the XML layout which will force every product to have the correct code.

There are a lot of optimisations to be made to the standard XML layout - What version of Sellerdeck are you running? (16.0.0.X)

Sure we'll catch up soon enough!

UK01 being present in Google Feed rather than GB

                Hi All,

Well it seems like my old friend and supplier Andy Barrow from The Plug In company Codepath had the answer within minutes.....

The UK01 was being picked up from the company information in business settings.

He advised -> Design Library -> XML Feeds -> Google Product feed layout -> Line 23 changed from what is was to GB.

                Apply then publish.

Now the feed says GB. Excellent !

Nice one Andy - We've awarded him "Hero of the Day" status at Byretech !

Thanks for all the advice everyone.......
