Server script error when uploading after upgrading to V16.0.3

    Hi,

I've just upgraded to v16.0.3 from v14 but when I try to refresh the website I get an error message saying 'the server scripts are incompatible with this version of Sellerdeck' and 'Sever version = 14.0, Client Version = 16 RUBC.

Am I missing something here? (I use Sellerdeck hosting)

    Thanks.
    Ian.

Here's how to force an all-new set of files onto your server:

In SellerDeck try Help / Troubleshooting / Web Site Purge and Refresh / select Delete Perl Files and restore from Original folder; also select Delete .cat and .fil files / then Delete and Refresh.

That's great, many thanks Norman. Its uploading fine now, the only error I'm getting now is when I run a test order through and try to 'commit' the payment I get an error saying 'PHP Error!!!' Any ideas?
      Thanks again.

There's a thread (but possibly no solution) on "PHP Error" - http://community.sellerdeck.com/showthread.php?t=57057

Thanks Norman, I'll ask my development person and if she doesn't know the answer I'll raise a ticket. If I get an answer I'll update here. Thanks again.

The PHP Error bug remains unresolved. Looks like we will all have to stop using Sellerdeck Payments until someone can be bothered to fix it.

Just an update, I've turned the PC on this morning to find the PHP error is now not happening - strange! Maybe its an intermittent error, will see if it reoccurs.

The only way to clear it is to "repair" the software.

You have to make a full backup of your files and folders.

Then reinstall the software over the top of the existing, selecting the repair function.

I don't know about your installation experience, but for us this takes between 50 and 90 minutes.

Not something to be done at a busy time, and very annoying to have to do it repeatedly because the bug inevitably rears its incredibly ugly and unnecessary head again further down the line..

                --edit--

Just to confirm, doing the repair option is not a fix. Your next Sellerdeck Payments order, or the one after that maybe, will also trigger the PHP error. This has never been properly addressed or acknowledged as a bug by Sellerdeck , presumably because they are only focussing on their 365 or whatever it is offering.

Thanks for the update - depressing that its going to re-appear! And worse that a re-install is the only way to (temporarily) fix it. I wonder how many users are suffering with this?!
