    On V8 Ecommerce we have 14000 products and some of the products for example are xl500u-52 or pp499/2015

    Everything links fine to EPOS, but when a customer comes in the shop and a member of staff puts a code in with a slash or dash or full stop EPOS does not recognise the symbols.

    Any ideas?

    As far as I'm aware Epos does not allow any 'special' characters to be input into the text field on the sales screen, even though it will allow the use of them when creating the product originally.

    I don't know anything about the V8 side of it....
    but from the epos point of view you could substitute the - / etc for a common symbol eg 123/45678 becomes 123x45678.
    Fairly easy easy to do if your comfortable poking around in the Access tables. Just do a find/replace on your product code listing and copy it back in again.

    As i said I don't know what effect this has on V8 maybe ask one of the guys on the 'other side' unless you can export directly from epos back into Actinic?
