    Sitewide Changes to Custom Variables

I need to update the content of custom variables used on my product pages so I can update the requirements of the Amazon product feed.

If I had a new to do that would be easy. I have over 1000 products and I need to find a faster way of updating them. I have looked at the Access files but it seems making global changes there is not practical and the variables are not included in the Products Table. It looks as if they are stored in the Variables Table and by reference only.

    Any ideas guys?

Hierarchical export, they're included on that.

      Thanks Lee.

I do not see how I can edit this file in the way I need.

I can open it in Excel but need to re-arrange the products/sections to do the editing. This will destroy the structure of the file won't it?

Maybe I have missed the point?

Add a new temporary column on the very left side and enter a running number all the way down. That will allow you to play around in Excel as you want and then later re-order the rows again to suit. When you've finished delete the column and import.
