New search function and navigation

Has anyone any documentation and or advice on using the powerful new search functions in 2013 to create navigation? Particularly navigating by brand to save duplicate sections as now.

Further to this, after consultation with a merchant who was very involved in the original specification of filtering, we have removed Category Filters from the release.

Therefore do any evaluation of filtering with General Filtering.

The only limitation of the Beta is that when selecting products from a Category, the matching Category Filter is chosen. In the Release there won't be a Category Filter so a General Filter (or just Filter) will be used.
