Could you tell me if it is possible to e mail all my customers within actinic all at once, say with promotional offers etc?

yes, have a look at Jan's site http://www.mole-end.biz/ She has a plug-in to extract the information you require and also info about groupmail for doing the mass email out. Groupmail can be done on it's own as well
