Hi All

Im a web designer and have just started working at a company who have actinic developer. I am wanting to ask a few questions that i just cant seem to get around:

1. How do i implement my own standard template onto all the pages (i tried changing the act_primary but then he brochurse won show up in the pages and non of the logo or flash icons work)

2. is there an easier way to design with this? it seems to be very difficults at the moment

3. how do i get the credit card payments to go direct to the business account. at the moment they are taking the details and putting it through an epos machine manually.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you seen this link from yesterday along the same lines http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=28609

Actinic can be integrated with several payment service providers .. check out under View | Business Settings | Payment and Security .. click the + under "payment method" to see a list of supported PSP's and hopefully your bank may be listed there.

Try a search on "flash" on the forum as several people have had issues and with several solutions being proffered.

well just tried to download the upgrade (version 8.5) and have tried the same authorisation key that i use for version 7 and its not working? any suggestions?

You need to talk direct to Actinic and get a V8 key - book a course at the same time

It isn't a free upgrade hence the v7 key will not work. Check with your company if they have Actinic cover as you will be entitled to a free cover (alas this is not retrospective so you can't take it out now and get the upgrade)

If you are serious about doing your own designs v8 is worth the expense of upgrading as it will save your company twice the amount in your hours to not get anywhere close to what can be done in v8. Tell the bosses it will save them money
