what the heck is going on?

OK, have a big problem and not sure what!
On adding a product to cart, it says "Your shopping cart now contains one order line.
Please wait for your browser to forward you to the next page or click here."


Next page that loads says "Your shopping cart is empty. Return to the catalog and add an item to your shopping cart before continuing"


So, what's going on?! Was fine yesterday. Have done a quick upload bu t no change. Kinda wanted to know if anyone had any ideas before I do a complete site refresh (ugh...do I have all day!?)

I can't think what is wrong but can confirm that I get the same thing here if I try to buy - I would suggest refreshing the site.

This is probably unrelated but I sent out a newsletter yesterday and your copy bounced back because your budget bumps email account was over subscribed.

ooh...that's worrying.
Just tried a complete refresh and was met with the following

An error occurred while transferring files to the web site.
Possible Cause:
Network timed out
Network is down
FTP server is down
Remote server disk is full
The permissions on the file or directory on the remote
server are locked
If the file being sent is a CGI script
(nqxxxxxx.pl or caxxxxxx.pl) someone else may be using the same CGI script ID as you.
Recommendations:
Abort
Resolution:
Re-establish your network connection
Be sure the FTP server is running
Try re-installing the web site when the network is not so busy
Make sure the disk is not full on the remote server
Make sure the website and cgi-bin directories
on the remote server are writable
Make sure the files in the cgi-bin and website are writable
Make sure your CGI script ID in the Advanced |
Network Setup... dialog is unique for your web server.

Am getting really peed off now.
I've had SO much trouble with my hosting this year, they DEFINITELY will NOT be getting my custom when this years hosting expires!

The rrro came up when it was "sending base files" and the first error box just said "connection with this web hosts server was lost" followed by the in depth above.

Is this a hosting problem?
ARGH....it's really pissing me off now!
What can I do? I'll log an incident perport (can't do much else) but their support is pretty crap really (no telephone support. Could use my Actinic cover but it's not an actinic problem, is it? It's a hosting one?)

Check that your error log files haven't become too big and taken away all of your available space.

You might be better off cutting your loses and moving earlier rather than later, the money you lose will probably be less than the money that you don't take in orders.

Problem is fixed now but it WAS a problem on their part, yet again!
