    !!! DNS Forwarding !!!

    Hi all,

    I need URGENT help to set up forwarding to my DNS - I'm using the following in a HTML doc:

    <META
    HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh"
    CONTENT="0; URL=http://www.url.co.uk">

    But I need to forward to my DNS ip address to run my site.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

    The URL bit then needs to read

    URL="127.0.0.0"> where 12.0.0.0 can be replaced for the specific IP.

    Kind regards,

      simon - your dns server must have a name (like ns.domain.com).

      why not use that?

      the other thing i don't understand AT ALL is why you must redirect traffic for your website to your dns server.

      is your dns server and webserver the same physical machine?

      do you want your website to be accessed as (say) http://123.234.15.7 or via your url?

      forgive me for asking, but do you understand how dns works?

      if not, reply to me offline and i'll take you through it.
