    Actinic v9.0.5 Beta

We are pleased to announce that Actinic v9.0.5 is now in public beta test. Version 9.0.5 is a small release that fixes several outstanding bugs in v9.

    - For a full list of changes in this release, see http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/changes-v905.htm
    - To download the software, please go to http://www.actinic.co.uk/about/Beta.php4

Please refer to the v9.0.5 beta test guide, for the areas that need testing in relation to the changes in this release. If you find any issues related to any of the fixes in v9.0.5, or that you did not experience with earlier versions of Actinic, please report them at: http://getsatisfaction.com/actinic/p...inic_v905_beta.

NB this beta software is of test quality only and should not be used on a live production site. Actinic cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage which may result from such use. If during the testing period any problems are found, a new version will be issued as soon as possible.

If we can do many currencies now with actinic payments, that sounds good.

Any chance of the changes written in English also please:

        Sorry, that should read:
Dragging and dropping sections no longer causes a crash if the database has a content category field (Product.nContentCategory) with value NULL

If you haven't had it, it may not mean much to you. Personally, I haven't had it ;-)

If you have Actinic Payments, you can now set up your site in Dollars or Euros instead of Sterling, and accept payments in those currencies.

And they'll settle in Sterling in to a Sterling account?

Have looked at the list of bug changes and would like confirmation that you are ignoring or have not dealt with the bug as outlined in

              about incorrect tax calculations

in particular following the quote from Ben in post #39

              "Hi Tracey,

I appreciate this is highly frustrating. I want to assure you we are taking this very seriously and currently working on the problem. As soon as we have a fix it will be going into the next maintenance release, which we plan to be rather small, targeted and available quickly.

Actinic Payments wont actually change the currency, it just passes this to the bank who will deal with it. Your bank will be able to answer how this is done their side and what merchant account would be required.

and I can confirm, from what testing I have been able to do, that it appears fixed and working as it should

I've tested our site with this beta and the snapshot export issue seems to be resolved. Can take snapshots now without disabling drillpine's multi image plug-in. So that's one good thing to know. When is 9.0.5 going to be fully released?
                          Cheers FrAz

I've rewritten all my add-on's to work around this bug.

The new versions also have the advantage that they work about 10 times faster than before. Very useful if you've a big site.

Email with details of what you're using and I'll send the updates.
