    Java not installed message

    If you receive the message 'Sorry, you cannot place your order with a credit card because your computer does not have Java installed.'

    Windows XP users

    Microsoft is currently installing Internet Explorer 7 via AutoUpdate. Internet Explorer 7 removes the Java Virtual Machine that is used by many online shopping carts.
    If you have been upgraded to IE7, or have a new PC with it installed, then to continue shopping you will need to either


    If you are running Netscape Navigator, or Internet Explorer 6 or earlier, you just need to enable Java:
    First check the type of browser that you have: click "Help" on the menu and then "About"
    If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer:
    IE 5.X and 6.X
    • go to the Tools menu
    • select Internet Options...
    • click the Advanced tab
    • Scroll down to the section headed 'Java (Sun)'
    • Tick the box marked 'Use.....'
    • press OK


    IE 4.X
    • go to the View menu
    • select Internet Options...
    • click the Security tab
    • select any of the standard security levels apart from 'High'
    • press OK
    • press the Refresh button



    If you have Mozilla Firefox, you can enable Java:
    • go to the Tools menu
    • select Options
    • click the Content tab
    • tick the box 'Enable Java'



    If you have Netscape Navigator:
    Navigator 4.X, 5.X and 6.X
    • go to the Edit menu
    • select Preferences...
    • select the Advanced category heading
    • click the Enable Java toggle
    • press the Okay button
    • press the Reload button
