What significant moves is V10.2 from V10.1? Cos the change from V9 - V10 should really be called V9.000001
Thanks in advance for any remarks

                    Hello Bruce,

I've recently moved from v9 to v10 and I love it, especially long awaited Real Life Stock Control.

I just have 2 minor issues with it and wondered whether they could be fixed in v10.0.2 (unfortunately I don't have time to download it and test it myself, sorry):

                    1. When a product goes out of stock the 'Add to Cart' button disapears but 'Quantity Prompt' box is still there. I've now added a condition to test 'IsInStock' variable but I have to upload the website for quantity prompt to disapear whereas 'Add to Cart' button disapears on live website as soon as the product is paid for.

                    2. In v9 I always had my orders sorted by date, the newest first. Also when downloading new orders they would always go to the top. In v10 every time I open Actinic I see oldest orders first, Actinic doesn't seem to remember how orders were sorted on exit. Also new orders always go to the bottom of the list and I have to click 'Date Ordered' filter twice to get them to the top. Not a big issue but not an improvement on v9.

                    Otherwise it's perfect!

I reported this as a problem on the first Beta release. Was told it would be fixed. Annoying it was not dealt with.

How does the new Add Payment feature work, please?

Does it only work with MOTO or does it work with web orders too? I've just imported some web orders into V10 that were paid by AP, added an additional product and can't see any new add payment option. I pre-authorise if that makes any difference?

Additionally, there is a new setting for AP address checking and CV2 - Strict.

What is Actinic's recommendation for shipping to Ireland for example, where there are no postcodes? Continue using the Enforce option?

I'd like to see a new option where the order is rejected if the details don't match and the order total is above a user defined amount. i.e. Enforce if order value exceeds 50.00.

So far the new feature only allows you to re-enter the CVV2 number when taking an additional payment for the same order. The functionality will be extended further in v10.0.3 to enable re-use of the same card for new orders.

To see how it works, add an item to an order that is already fully paid, go to the Progress and Payments tab, and click the 'Pay' button. You will see a new option in the dialog.

The new Strict options for CVV2, address and postcode will probably be over cautious in most cases. Their addition should not be interpreted as a recommendation, but was quite widely requested.

As far as I know we don't have any plans to make it conditional. In fact I don't think we would recommend relying on automation to that extent. You will always have the option to reject any order that you don't think is safe. If you pre-authorise transactions, you can do that before any money has been taken from the card.

I tried that before I posted. The pay button was greyed-out!

What Payment Status is shown for the order? (in the Payment column of the orders table)
