The 3rd Man Rule Descriptions and Fraud Scores

In the next few weeks we will be updating the fraud rules for The 3rd Man which are visible in Actinic and in the Actinic Payments Admin System (webMIS).

The new rules use more verbose descriptions and will include their contributing fraud score.

This is in response to requests here on Community and will not require any upgrade to Actinic, all versions currently supporting The 3rd Man will automatically receive the new rule descriptions when The 3rd Man Fraud scores are downloaded with orders or updates.

The two attached images show screen shots of Actinic and of webMIS to show the new rule descriptions and scores.

I'll post again when we put the new rules into production.

That's interesting. So 3rd man adds +10 to the fraud score because I don't allow the local council to sell my name and address (the same rating as a suspect transaction within the last 3 days).

It just goes to show how important the details on the fraud score or. Very usefull info.

        Morning all

The new rule strings are now live and you should see them coming through in downloads after 10:15 (approx).

In the interests of security we have removed the rule listing from the KB at http://community.actinic.com/showthr...266#post289266 We will be mailing Actinic Payments customers a listing in the next day or two and the list can be provided on request from our support team for Actinic Payments customers.

We have noticed that some rules are being returned incorrectly to EC and this is due to some servers caching the old rule strings.

Unfortunately restarting these servers is non trivial and we do not want to do it during busy transaction processing.

We will roll through the restarts tomorrow morning and all rules should be returning correctly to EC by then.

Rules can still be viewed in the admin system (webMIS).

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by this problem, we will have those new rule strings as soon as we can
