Will V11 be able to use .rpt files created in Crystal reports V9?

You will still be limited to using CR v8.5 to modify the existing reports in v11.

I think you should be able to use CR v9 (or later), if you have it installed on the Actinic PC, and wish to design your own reports from scratch that would access the Actinic database directly though.

Sounds like I am getting out of my depth with this! - will have to keep pluging away, not sure me head can fit any more information.

Basically you cannot use reports build or modified with crystal reports v9 or above within Actinic, if you change then with crystal v9 or above and try to use them from Actinic, they won't work anymore. However the Actinic data is stored in an access database, so you can write reports and run them from within crystal reports or the access database.

Duncan offers a fine report modification service, if you only want a couple of things done then it might be more cost effective to ask him for a quote.
