    Actinic Business / Designer

Looking at the actinic website "Business+" seems to be the version that will allow me to run multiple sites and I kind of assumed that I would be able to do all of the template design etc that I could do in "v7 Developer".

But when I run the Eval version of Business ('Business Client') it doesn't have the design tab so I can't edit the template code. The only way I can see this is to select 'Designer' in the Eval version.

But looking at the website "Designer" looks like it is only intended for designers to design the website and hand it over to a customer who will use it on their business version of the software.

So now I'm confused. In order to get what I had in "V7 developer" to I need to buy "Designer" to design it and business plus to run it?

Or can I do all this in "business+" and it's simply the case that the eval version doesn't have the "business+" option (ie. business is different to business client)?

Business+ is all you need, you would never need designer. In 7 years as an actinic designer i have never used designer, so you certainly won't need to. Business+ gives you the multiple sites, you can also buy user licenses for multi-users on that version. The client version is what designers give to customers if they have designed their site using designer. Client has no design capabilities, so is a cut down version and thus cheaper to the customer.

I used to have Business Multisite and Developer in v7 days. As Lee says it has changed, if you have Business + (what was Business Multisite) then you don't need Designer. The trial version only allows you to create a single site, but it does allow you to trial Business, Catalog and Developer versions.

my bad, I selected the wrong option in the eval popup. I can now select business rather than business client.
