    Cookie law

    Hi,
couple or three questions, I have searched the forum but most threads are quite old.
    1. Do I have to have a POP up Cookie notice on my website or will something in Tand Cs suffice
    2. If I do need script can anyone reccomend some please
    3. Is sellerdeck a bit remiss for not building this in

    Regards Steve

    Hi Steve,

As I understood it websites must make customers/visitors aware, and given the big players have adopted it I would say it's something you have to have, I used the solution on the following thread:

    Many Thanks

Firstly may I apologise for asking the same question again, for it was me who asked last time. My only mitigation is the Bed trade does go quiet in March, hence national Bed Month, but I can understand frustration with me

I would like to use the code kindly supplied here http://community.sellerdeck.com/show...75&postcount=4 and it would seem i do have to edit it to put in details specific to my website.
Having looked carefully I think the first block can go in "as is" Am I correct
However it is the second block that I need to edit. Have I got this correct?
and that it is this bit I have to alter
      <a href=\"<actinic:variable name="CatalogURL" />info.html\ Am I right so far?

do I replace CatalogURL with my web address.

      Thank you for helping.
      Regards Steve

You shouldn't need to make any changes. CatalogURL is a variable that is existing and will return the value required automatically.

I just realising that we don't have this on our sites... I'll have to look into this, this weekend.

Shouldn't this be somehow included in Sellerdeck by default?

I would say so. People have said that as this is EU law and SD is interantional that they do not need to. But really this should be a checkbox in the software situation, pretty sloppy IMHO

There are a lot of past posts on the community about this.

The 'law' is open to interpretation and as such many people therefore opt to implement something like the above.
