    Single product upload crashes sellerdeck

When we try to use single product upload Sellerdeck Crashes!

This issuebegan during the last week of using SD 2014 and support suggested creating a new site so we did this to move to SD 2016 but the issue remains. Support have told me its a known bug, but I cant find anyone with a similar issue??

Some of our sites upload single page fine. Any thoughts on why one specific site has started to crash sellerdeck when uploading a single product??

It is causing us a real headache as we are uploading the site so many times just to get a new or edited product up live that the process is taking hours!

I cant believe an actual function of the software causes the software to crash and this is a known issue, anyone shed some light or suggest any solutions please

      Hi Norman

      Thanks for your response.

SD crashes no error and generates a crash report which I have sent to SD dozens of times.

This is the crash report if it is helpful?

            Hi Norman

Thanks for testing it! Nice to know Im not losing the plot completely!!

Do you know why the issue has started and if so is there anything I can do to go back to when it worked fine??

To be honest I dont understand the crash file. Support have simply fobbed me off that it is a bug but isnt scheduled to be fixed, which as its a function Im very surprised at.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

            Thanks

I recall Single Page Upload as being a feature that SD publicised to encourage upgrades.

Of course, so was filtering, and several other features that have turned out to be nightmares.

Yeap thats what I thought too......

Strange thing is that single page upload was working fine then bang it stopped on one site but works fine on another site :-/

Also having major issues with filters and the new product options and stock control.

Even more so as I try to fix something and then have to upload an entire site to find that its not fixed :-/

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Kind of hoped SD would monitor this and have some useful thoughts too.

Generally, Publish Current Page works OK in v 2016, but occasionally, if a few of these have been done one after the other, the upload hangs on Indexing and eventually crashes.
It all goes fine again after a restart.
Some days, it doesn't do it at all, others it happens once or twice.
Needless to say, no response from SD HQ to the countless crash log emails the system has uploaded.
                      Kind Regards

                        Thanks Sean

Im getting a complete crash every time in V 2016 and before that it started to happen in v2014.

Likewise I have uploaded countless crash emails.

Been old its a bug but not planned to be fixed! Maybe SD should advertise what doesnt work rather than what they think might work??

                        Very frustrated.

Long shot - we use Access to do a >Manage>Compact and Repair to the SD database regularly, which seems to help.
Note - we have found using the Compact Database option when closing SD is not as effective as using Access directly.
                          Kind Regards

Sadly tried it and still crashing :-(

Really hope SD sort these bugs out that they promote as selling points :-/

We had a crash on upload this week (update not publish single page) and it was down to a file being referenced that did not exist, in our case something in the NOT_CATALOG directory. To fix it we had to manually rename the file ni the database - the corresponding file in business settings was correct but the database entry was incorrect. Yours might be something similar given that it suddenly started to happen. We are using V11 still though so it might be red herring.
