    Best sellers not all displayed

Just trying out best sellers for the first time and am finding that they are not all displayed. I have set 12 products in the list, and set them all up manually, having disabled the "autogenerate on upload" radio button. The 12 products are all defined, they are all real products, and there are no duplicates. The "Lock" box is unticked for all products. In short, the list format seems OK. However, of the 12 in the list, only 7 of them (numbers 1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12) are shown.

I can't see anything on the forum which covers this - anyone got any ideas?

In the marketing tab in the product make sure the checkbox is ticked to include in best sellers?

Thanks for the suggestions. This problem is weird.

On revisiting it the following day, when I opened the Best Sellers list, I note that the products that were not being displayed had been removed from the list and were showing as "Not Used" items in the list. Now all the products were originally selected in exactly the same way, by clicking on the right-hand end of the entry field, searching for the reference, selecting it, and clicking on "OK" or "APPLY". Whilst the products are all different, they are all equally valid and I cannot see anything about any of them which might render them "invalid" products - they work elsewhere in the catalogue, so why not here? They were, BTW, all enabled as best seller compatible on the marketing tab, but does that only apply when the list is auto-generated? Remember these were selected manually.

The only thing I can think of is that when originally added to the list, I am unclear in the case of each product, about whether I selected "OK" or "APPLY" THEN "OK". I think either is a valid method. What I know is that they DID appear in the list.

Anyway, now I have re-entered the missing products in the list, being very careful to click on "APPLY" in each case before pressing "OK" - and it works.

Are you ticking the lock box? This will stop Actinic from chosing it's own best sellers.

The only other thing I can think of is Actinic has a checkbox for include best sellers / new products only sold in a set timescale (period of sales to process) in the marketing, maybe this is checked and some are outside the timescale?

I would also make a note of what products you want and start again, just in case theres something odd.

You can define the period of time over which an auto-generated best sellers list takes its sales data from, but in this case the set of products was chosen manually. I've also now "locked" each product - although with auto-generation switched off, and in the absence of a manully triggered regeneration, I don't think the list should change.

Anyway, it seems to be behaving itself now. I suspect it was something to do with clicking "OK" without clicking "APPLY" first.
