    Printing a catalogue

    I wish I wish I wish

Can we have the option to print a catalogue from actinic, all the info is there, description text images part number e.t.c but it would be nice to be able to have the option to print these details out in either section order, part number or alphabetical in various formats i.e with pictures or not, with long descriptions or not

I hope you get what i mean

    Cheers
    Darren

Sir Bill Campbell already has something that can handle this on one of his sites.

I do think Actinic Towers should put it on the `to do` list though. Near the top, just beside Google Checkout perhaps.

Edited: Named Duncan instead of Bill. Sorry dudes.

and of course next to must finishing shipping section, such as exclude a product from a type of shipping. You see it is a bit awkard to trying to tell customers some items can not be sent via special delivery because they are to big - but i bet this will be sometime never.

I think i will start a new wish thread

                kev,

a few people have been having problems with act2pdf, so it's some common factor on those installations that I am working to track down. I have it working from 6.15 through 8.5.1 on my own in house machines - but of course they are all set up with more or less the same software, though one is now running arabic and another french. Please do mail me, as the more detail I gather, the sooner I will identify and add/eliminate the missing/errant code.

Goat Point to Bill for casually mentioning his Arabic pc. I bet Actinic's on there as well.

Bill, I downloaded the trial version too and couldn't get it to work either (although it was on my PC and I don't use that much now)
If I get chance (ha!) I'll try again on the laptop and let you know

I have a trainee ( currently doing his uni final exams ) who uses the arabic PC for ASP.NET development, and yes, he has English Actinic running on there, and is doing his own conversion of some of the sites I worked earlier this year as his learning exercise.

Actinic's French partner is very quiet these days and producing a french site is also a case of using the English interface, just with French OS and French Keyboard.

I will publish an updated trial version using time limitation on the current paid version, and that will hopefully resolve some pf the problems, but I would much rather identify the d..n problem.

Darren, I'll run the Vista compatability checker on Act2pdf and see if that identifies any issues.
