    Hi Kiran,
I found that email and have raised a support ticket with our ISP.
    their response:
I will have to pass this on to systems, and it may take some time to get a reply as these servers are managed on our behalf by another company, so it can sometimes take a while to get this sort of issue sorted (especially as our free servers support a large number of users, so configuration changes can be problematical).

I will put a support request on and will update you once I get a response.
I wonder : can I put a copy of the module directly in our cgi-shl directory?

You can get the module from CPAN, unzip the file and place the .pm file in your cgi directory and as @INC contains your cgi directory you should not have to add anything to your script to locate the file.
Ideally however it would be better for your hosting company to implement this.

this update came from the ISP today....

I have checked with our suppliers, who are happy to make the change, however they have not yet given a complete time, I will try and update you as soon as I get a time.

some days later..... a note from our ISP.... and yes, I HAVE tested the script and it still doesn't work... I may try adding the module myself to our cgi directory this weekend if they still haven't done anything.

I have not had an update yet, it may make some time for the module to be added, as all of our servers have to be done to keep them in synchronisation. Please note that from past experience it may be worth testing your script, as it is not unusual for the servers to be updated and for us not to receive advance notification.
