Multiuser stuck upload (creating remote directory structure)

    Multiuser 8.5.1. HFUA

Following a power outage, Actinic now gets stuck at Check and Send Files, Creating remote directory structure (green progress bar complete). Checking search indices is ticked, Reviewing files is still greyed out.

    Have tried:
    1. Perl script new ID, and refresh - Network settings 'test' results in "testing normal settings" "connecting to FTP" and then freezes.
    2. Purge content and refresh
    3. Generate web site and refresh
    4. Delete cgi-bin and refresh
    5. Compact databases and refresh

    ...all to no avail

This problem occurs on all sites, on more than one domain.

Some background: Sites folder is on a local server rather than on one of the machines with Actinic installed on, and after the power outage (or possibly as a result of someone trying to fix the problem), the sites.ini file was empty, so this has been rebuilt. Catalogues are accessible and editable, and order download/processing is fine.

Also, this has been running for years under acatalog 755 and cgi-bin 755 permissions. I have just tried acatalog under 777 and problem still exists.

    Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan

Update: looks like it may be a firewall thing:
Network settings test stalls at 'Testing normal settings, Connecting to FTP server'. Possibly co-incidence that it happened at a similar time to the power cut!

As well as disabling your software firewall you could also try rebooting your router.
