Duplicate product problems after V8.5.1 upgrade

It seems to be affecting groups of duplicates in certain sections - no pattern as far as I can see but deleting the duplicate and recreating it fixes the problem.

And each one of the products on the page the link leads you to adds a completely different product to the cart, clicking on the more-information link and adding to cart gets you to correct product. Weird!!!

Ive replaced all the affected duplicates and it seems to have fixed the problem Now to solve the shipping error

If you have the correct tables in your version, can you export the shipping tables and send them over?

Ok - Ive just upgraded another site and its created the same problem with the duplicates ie duplicates showing different product references to the main product.

Ive a big site to do soon and its going to be a real pain if that goes the same way.

I have since yesterday got a version of the snapshot from Malcolm upgraded it to 851 HERA then to 851 HFUA and cannot get to replicate any issues with the duplicate products, they add the correct product to cart etc.

I am awaiting the snapshot that Malcolm upgraded to HFUA and will then post what was causing the issue. At present I can tell you that there has been no other report of this issue.

Uh- oh. I just got my site working (new server) and have found that none of the best sellers and the new products links work:

The specified product reference () couldn't be found.

Upgrade Peter and then see what happens. Not many left on 8.5 i would expect, so hard to give some decent info when we're all on different versions.

May pluck up the courage tomorrow!

BTW I got the best sellers and new products to work - I had changed my unique product id's and so had to regenerate the lists and refresh the site.

LOL Peter, just snapshot it a couple of times before you upgrade. We all soil ourselves upgrading, it's a lot better than the impression it portrays though, as you only ever hear bad news on a forum generally.
