It's probably not so bad on a PC actually because of the likely positioning of a monitor vs a laptop screen where screen angles may vary considerably from person to person.

The whole contrast between the 2 colours is a problem throughout the WHOLE Actinic site, IMO. Sure, some people might not have a problem with it but I'm sure many do!

Sadly this is a general problem with our current design. Changing the text colour does make the pink pages easier to read, but unfortunately it also makes the ones with a blue background much harder, which is why we have not implemented that as quick fix site-wide.

The moral is to not mix dark and light backgrounds. We will definitely bear that in mind when we replace the current design, hopefully some time in the new year. In the meantime, I am seriously thinking of replacing the pink background, wherever it occurs, with something darker that will work with the white text.

Is it not possible to have 2 different styles (text colors) for the different areas in the interim??

The plugin product page still exists, but the TLS is gone.

Unfortunately, Grant, that is only one of the plug in pages - they reorganised it into plug in categories a while back. I'm looking for the one that has customer accounts/history on it (if any knows the direct URL for that?)

This is all I could find on Actinic's site with regards to customer accounts and order history:

                      http://test.actinic.co.uk/products/plugins.htm

                      http://www.actinic.co.uk/products/plugins.orders.htm

                      Suppose it might help somebody

                          Hi All,

There are also some Actinic-related services available from Postcode Anywhere's new SOA platform - www.thewebservice.com (TWS).

TWS's MyFeeds functionality enables you to publish live stock, order and pretty my any other locally-hosted Actinic data as online web services.

A product tour is available on http://www.youtube.com/postcodeanywhere. This includes a demonstration of an AJAX-based real-time stock feed running on an Actinic site, which took me a couple of hours to set up.

TWS is designed more for web developers than end users. If you would like to try it out, please contact me directly and I will setup a test account for you.
                          Regards,

                          Phil Rothwell

                              actinet is moving.

                              http://code.google.com/p/actinet/

The project site is abandoned and we moved the free version to this google code page.
