    Importing Customer Information

Is it possible to import a list of customers into the system? I have different pricing groups (pricing schedules)......and I would like to import a list of customer to their particular group....and at the same time assign them a (customer ID & Password).....I want to then send out info about the site to a customer and give them there (sign in information)....

    thanks

Actinic can import customer account details via what is called a 'hierarchical import'. This is an import file in a particular structure - but it is not too scary. There is an example of it in your 'Site1' (or equivalent) folder called SampleCustomerImportFile.txt.

Basically, a hierarchical import allows you to import customer details, address details and then buyer details in a single file.

You put in a row for the customer account details, underneath that you put in one or more rows for the addresses for that account, and underneath that you put in one or more rows for the buyers for that account. You then put in the row for the next customer account, and so on.

    Hope this helps
