    _GAT script error in IE8

Is anyone else getting the usual _gat is undefined error when viewing their site in IE8.

Anyone any ideas what the problems may be?

It's a Google Analytics error, been spoken about and a solution provided by Norman a few months ago. Try a search, see if you can find it, should be quite easy to find, use the error message as the starting point for your search.

Thanks for the reply, I have searched and found normans post and my tracking code appears ok.

I only get the error in IE8, IE7 and firefox are ok.

Perhaps you didn't find the right one then as the one I recall was where he provided some Javascript to fix the issue. It's only experienced on the home page from memory and it's something everybody is experiencing. It's not about having correct code, it's about having the fix in place to fix what's there. I believe it is only an IE issue. You can't really have wrong code in place as actinic integrates it for you, it's what they've integrated that needs fixing.

          Try these three threads:
Google Analytics ('_gat' undefined & suppressing acatalog from URLs)
ERROR "_gat is undefined" after upgrade from V9.02 to V9.03
          Google Analytics
