Using Google Apps for SellerDeck transactional email

Hi folks, I saw a few posts related to this but nothing resolved as to a workaround for this:

Has anyone found a way to configure SellerDeck to send through Google Apps SSL mail servers?

We don't want the SMTP alternative (If you connect using SMTP, you can only send mail to Gmail or Google Apps users).

I'm having the same issue now.

I've already spent a day trying to get Google Apps for Business working with Sellerdeck. I've just switched to sellerdeck hosting, but I don't want to move my e-mails to Sellerdeck hosting too, because Google Apps for Business is an integral part of our operation.

Has anyone using Google Apps managed to get gmail to be their SMTP server? Or am I wasting my time?

I came up against a brick wall here with SellerDeck + Google Apps previously, so used this solution instead:

      https://mandrillapp.com/

The Free plan has worked fine for us so far, allows 12,000 transactional emails per month.

        Thanks!

I've had to settle for Mandrill too. Seems to be working.

Bit unsettling to have to pay for Sellerdeck Hosting and Google Apps, only have to resort to another free tool online to get things working.

Have just come across this problem myself. Really no workaround for this yet?

I've tried Mandrill and it has failed the SMTP test. Any suggestions?

This thread fixed it for me:
