I thought this had been brought up recently but I can't locate it!
I'm looking to find some way of issuing returns authorisation, automatically, by using some sort of reference/password generator.
I want a customer to be able to email a specific email address which will then auto-reply with a reference to be used as returns authorisation. Obviously, I also want a copy of this email so I know what's going on!
Wondered if a password generator would do the trick? WIth wording changed in the email to customer changing "password" to "returns reference"??
Also, I'd like it to be based on their order number so that I can use the returns ref to work out which order it relates to (I currently use first 2 letters, last 4 numbers and R followed by the date (ddmm) so I can locate the order and I know when it was authorised)
