Google and https

If a page which is recognised by Google and which has always been http, eg:

http://www.mysite.com/index.html

is moved to a secure server and becomes:

https://www.mysite.com/index.html

is Google going to think it's a new page and start from new, plus will incoming links be broken, or will everything carry on as before......
