Hi all - here's a notice about a thread we've had to delete.

After a fair amount of discussion we've decided to remove the thread 'Is v9 slower than v8' from the forum. In the heat of debate, the content had wandered off topic and some of the postings had become overly heated, generalised and possibly slanderous.
However, some of the points were well made; particularly in the area of testing. For that reason we are contacting those who expressed strong views to take on board their specific points.
Actinic aims to be a friendly company and we want every part of its public face to reflect that. We accept that while the forum is intended to be a place where Actinic's customers can help each other, there is likely to be debate and the posting of constructive criticism.
What we don't want the forum to become a harsh environment for posters. Not only does it reflect badly on our business, but combative online cultures don't suit everyone. Having a thick skin shouldn't have to be an essential qualification for participation.
