No Add To Cart button after hierarchical import.
This is posted in case it helps anyone else. I designed a new site, placed a dummy section and product and did a hierarchical export. I populated this with products and sections and dragged the cells with the default settings to copy them to all the products. Having imported this edited file only the very first product had an Add To Cart Button. In design view I removed one condition at a time from the BlockIf round the add to cart layout. One condition is 'NumberAttributesInPushButtonGrid==0'. Removing this restored the buttons. In content tree clicking properties in products showed ever higher values for the push button thing.
It turns out that when dragging cells in Excel to duplucate, column CO (NumberAttributesInPushButtonGrid) had, instead of copying as 0s had gone 1234567 etc upto 373! Changing the values to 0 and reimporting restored the missing buttons.
Moral: Watch it when draggimg in Excel.
