do you have to make a 'test' item with zero value? but would that go through checkout?

I did this a long time ago but I recall that it worked. Maybe it was because I wasn't trying it on PayPal?

but how do you use them exactly... I just tried (and failed)

I went to paypal.... dont have paypal account pay with credit card... then tried a few of the numbers but it kept replying.. 'the number is incorrect' 'the number cant be used' or similar..

yes I could add a low cost item, but the google people wont use their credit card at all!
So I need either a 'test' credit card number somehow.. dont know how that works.. Somehow for the google support to get to receipt.html without them spending any money?!

I presume they mean to just make an order as if you were a normal customer. Maybe you could add a new low cost Product just for the test.

Does anyone know the best way to enable a 'test transaction' on a live site.
I am having issues with google analytics linking to my adwords campaign and google support have asked for;

1. The exact steps for creating a test transaction on your website 2. The information required to complete a test transaction (username, password and test credit card number)

I will try and perform a test conversion to see where the visit is losing the source.


Any ideas? Thanks
