For anyone using this I have found an undocumented feature! I have had this confirmed by Actinic tech support.
The Actinic field in the translation table is CASE sensitive.
So to get Actinic Link to work you must ensure that the Actinic product reference (in Actinic) is exactly the same as the corresponding field in the translation table.
A bit annoying to find this out after typing in 100's of products referecnes in both Actinic and the translation table
