I just thought I'd share this with you just in case any one else wants to offer a % discount and free shipping. It's probably obvious to everyone else but it has taken me all monring so I'm very proud of myself!
I put relevant products in a product group and applied a % discount with an offer code.
I then applied a cart level discount £off orders over x with the same offer code as above for £x which is our standard shipping cost. I had to set the minimum order amount at the shipping discount.
It's a bit of a pain because if products are already in a group then it doesn't work so someone may have a better solution but for me this was fine so worked well!
