There's a thread in the archive dungeon from years ago which doesn't seem to have been address, just wondering what the status is or if I missed the solution to this one...?
Scenario; you have various products all made up of components and many of these components are utilised in more than one product of this style. In the cart and thus everything after it like Sage Export etc., the various components are not consolidated whether the "no orderline for main product" is selected or not which creates a very messy invoice / order and we as users are left with the choice of poor stock control on such product assemblies or nasty looking invoices.
Example;
PRODUCT A = COMPONENT 1, 2 and 6
PRODUCT B = COMPONENT 1, 5 and 6
The invoice / order will show each product with each component rather than :-
COMPONENT 1 x 2
COMPONENT 2 x 1
COMPONENT 5 x 1
COMPONENT 6 x 2
Where the existing Actinic structure is perhaps ok for a packing list, we do need an option to consolidate same invoice items so they group together and keep the appearance tidy. That is assuming you do want to have a professional image.
