Checkout and Search pages issues

I am using V9 and for some reason the search and checkout pages no longer use the style sheet - they show up as a plain text with html links instead before redirecting back to the main page---what did I do wrong?? HELP

I checked out all of the baseref headers and they are the originals, I haven't done anything to them
