Email spam

I suspect our contact page is being used to send us dozens of spam emails daily.

I've read a few old postings about this with various solutions.

What is the current view on the best solution please?

Is a Captcha easy to install for a computer numpty or is there a better route?

Adding captcha to the old form isn't easy and the spam robots can bypass it anyway by calling the scripts directly.

I think the best two options for someone in your position are:

1. Use Machform instead of the actinic form. It's a PHP based form that's very clever and has lot's of nice features. $49 (£30?) for a single site licence.

2. Upgrade to V11 or later which has the captcha built in.

I don't use either of these as I use my own little PHP form and find that killing any form submissions with a link in them effectively blocks all spam submissions. Machform has been discussed on the forum before though.
