"Search on product attributes"
From the front page of the Actinic site, one of the benefits of Actinic Business was "Search on product attributes". I think i've completely mis-understood what this meant... I thought that it meant that the text in custom properties would be included in the search index.
But it seems that instead it means I have to create 'drop down menus' or 'check boxes' or whatever for specific custom properties. Not very pratical for my online bookshop (www.luath.co.uk) where I'd like users to be able to search for author names. We have lots of authors, so drop-down lists or checkboxes are not practical or helpful for customers.
How can I enable searching custom properties without all the unneccessary guff appearing?
