Java built in encryption

I have a client who is still using Catalog V3 and the java built in encryption. Is this still secure?

Built in encryption method is not PCI compliant hence should not be considered an acceptable method of taking credit cards payments.

You might be able to get v3 to interface with SagePay or Worldpay but things have moved on so much that you really should talk your client into an upgrade.
