Confused about editing outer layout of entire site

Hi everyone. I'm a new user, so bear with me. I want to edit/add some HTML that shows up on every single page of my site. I understand that I need to be at the outermost layout, but it only seems to add the HTML to the home page of the site. Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the Community Patrick.

Some Themes use a different Overall Layout for the "Brochure" pages (of which the Home page is one) than is used for the main content pages.

So select a Content page (one with a Section or Product), then the Design Tab. That should help you get to the Overall Layout used there.
