Is anyone running a SellerDeck site on a server with Perl v5.10.1

I am moving my site to a new server that has Plesk version 12.5.30 with Perl v5.10.1 installed but, in the Installation Guide it says SellerDeck needs "Perl 5.004 or later (MD5 Perl module recommended; Perl 5.10.0 is not supported)"

I have been unable to upload my site, or get through the Test in Network Setup.

    The message I get is:
"SellerDeck is not able to run the CGI scripts on the server. It appears as if the scripts are not installed. The most likely cause is that you have an incorrect CGI-BIN URL. If you've never uploaded the site, then you should do it before a download of orders. If you've uploaded the site ever, then Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration."

    and then:
"The web server returned error code 404 - Requested URL not found. This means SellerDeck can not execute the CGI scripts on your web site. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to check the web setup."

SellerDeck Support have tried, unsuccessfully, to upload a standard site to the server.

The new server is a Linux virtual server with CentOS 6.7 from Easyspace. The permission on the cgi-bin are set to 755 and the acatalog folder is set to 777. This is the first upload to this new server.

I suspect that the problem is the Perl version so I am considering updating Perl to v5.24 (the current latest version)

So, I guess my question is:

Is anyone successfully running SellerDeck on a Linux server with Perl v5.10.1 or v5.24

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Lee
